Discover Freedom in Connection: Where Mind, Body, and Hearts Unite
At Boundless Bonds, we are dedicated to helping individuals connect with themselves, their partners and their community, promoting mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
At Boundless Bonds, we've woven aspects of the ancient art of Japanese Shibari into a contemporary body-centred mindfulness approach, where the focus is on cultivating mental and physical wellbeing using the sensations of rope and rope-tying/binding as the point of focus. This can be a solo practice or shared with a partner to create a deeper sense of trust and connection, both physically and emotionally.
Our skillshares, workshops, guided rope meditation sessions and social rope events provide a transformative experience, helping individuals to discover profound insights through the intertwining of movement, sensation, connection and mindfulness. These events offer you an opportunity to embrace a deeper understanding of yourself, forge deeper connections with a partner, and become part of a supportive community that shares a unique path to personal and collective wellbeing.
We understand that group events are not for everyone. For those who prefer personalised experiences, we offer private lessons and guided rope-tying meditation sessions, tailored for individual needs.
While many individuals and couples find body-centered rope-tying therapeutic and use it as a focal point for their mindfulness or meditation practice, it's important to understand that to date, no scientific research has been conducted to validate its efficacy as a psychological therapy. Boundless Bonds does not imply or guarantee in any way, that engaging in this practice will yield specific benefits for you. Moreover, it's essential to note that whilst Nina and David are skilled in various aspects of body-centered rope-tying, neither are trained psychological therapists.
IF YOU UNDERTAKE THIS PRACTICE YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT NEITHER NINA, DAVID NOR BOUNDLESS BONDS ARE IN ANY WAY LIABLE FOR YOUR SAFETY.
Almost everything we do in life has some degree of risk, even sitting still for too long can be hazardous to our health. Body-centered rope tying is no different. There are risks associatated with this activity that you should be aware of and learn to mitigate as much as possible. The most common of these risks is potential nerve damage if rope is placed tightly in areas where the nerves run close to the surface of the skin. All Boundless Bonds events include a discussion of the risks associated with body-centred rope tying and where to avoid placing rope, but sometimes an injury can occur despite all caution.
